50 years of history
- Murano Glass -
The story of bas-reliefs in Murano glass starts in 1963 with the establishment of the company FERRO & CIMEGOTTO. The company FERRO LORENZO took over in 2011 and remains faithful to the activities of its founders, merging art and crafts to create unique, exclusive and fully handmade items. These are mainly inspired by the Venetian symbols and sacred art but are also aimed at companies, associations, institutions, local authorities… through the production of customized products (plaques, paperweights with logos, signs…)
After designing and making a model, the bas-relief comes to life in a Murano factory (“fornace”), using techniques and materials according to glassmaking tradition. The bas-reliefs in glass thus obtained is hand-decorated (enamel, gold leaf, silver…) and/or customized (logos, signs…). Due to the handcrafted nature of these products, subtle variations and imperfections will occur; each piece is an original one.
